🔁 Returns & Refunds Policy

We comply with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).


1. Consumer Rights (NZ Law)

If your product is:

  • Faulty
  • Not as described
  • Not fit for purpose

You are entitled to a:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Refund (where applicable under CGA)

2. Change of Mind Returns

We generally do not accept returns for change of mind.

However, at our discretion, we may accept returns if:

  • Item is unused
  • In original packaging
  • Returned within 7–14 days

Restocking fees may apply.


3. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Installed or used parts
  • Oils, lubricants, and chemicals
  • Electrical components once fitted
  • Special order items
  • Clearance items

4. Incorrect Orders

Customers are responsible for ensuring parts are suitable before purchase.

If an incorrect item is ordered:

  • Returns may be accepted at our discretion
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

5. Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos if possible
  • We will arrange replacement or refund where applicable

6. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  • Email us at: info@easternmarine.co.nz
  • Include order number and reason for return

We will provide return instructions if approved.


7. Refunds

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method once:

  • Item is received and inspected (if required)
  • Return is approved

Processing time: 3–7 business days


8. Warranty

Some products include manufacturer warranties. These must be processed through us or the manufacturer depending on the product type.
