This combination sensor measures both manifold absolute pressure (MAP) and intake air temperature (IAT), providing critical data to the engine control module (ECM) for precise fuel delivery, ignition timing and overall engine performance.
The MAP sensor monitors intake manifold pressure, allowing the ECM to determine engine load and operating conditions.
