The Mercury Marine 8M0075246 RC4500 Dual MerCruiser Control with Trim is a genuine Mercury OEM Gen II dual-engine mechanical remote control designed specifically for twin-engine MerCruiser sterndrive installations. Featuring a stylish console-mounted binnacle design, this control provides smooth and precise throttle and shift operation while incorporating convenient trim control functions directly into the control assembly.
The RC4500 control features a trim switch integrated into the port control handle, allowing simultaneous trimming and trailering of both drives with a single thumb-operated control. For more precise adjustment, individual trim buttons are located on the control cover, allowing separate fine-tuning of each drive when required. This provides exceptional control and simplifies operation while underway.
Built around Mercury’s proven Gen II mechanical control system, the RC4500 delivers smooth operation, improved responsiveness and increased durability. The ergonomic twin-handle design offers comfortable operation, while the throttle-only button located at the base of each handle allows engine warm-up without engaging the transmission.
This control requires Mercury Gen II throttle and shift cables and a separate trim harness to complete installation. It is intended for single-station twin-engine installations and is widely used on recreational, offshore and cruising vessels fitted with twin MerCruiser sterndrives.
