The Mercury Marine 18458Q4 Fuel / Water Separating Filter Kit is a genuine Mercury OEM fuel system service component designed for Mercury and Mariner V6 EFI and DFI outboard engines. This 10-micron fuel filter removes water, dirt, rust, sediment and other harmful contaminants before they reach sensitive fuel system components, helping maintain optimum engine performance and reliability.
The kit includes the fuel filter element, sealing O-ring and the blue water-in-fuel warning sensor used on many Mercury outboard applications. Water contamination is one of the leading causes of fuel system issues in marine engines, and this filter plays a critical role in protecting injectors, fuel pumps and fuel rails from damage.
Manufactured to Mercury Marine specifications, the 18458Q4 filter is designed to provide excellent filtration efficiency while maintaining proper fuel flow under all operating conditions.
