The Mercury Marine 856156T02 Low Oil Switch Assembly is a genuine Mercury OEM oil level sensor designed for selected Mercury and Mariner two-stroke outboards. Installed in the engine-mounted oil reservoir tank, this switch continuously monitors oil levels and activates the warning system when the oil level drops below the safe operating range, helping prevent costly engine damage caused by oil starvation.
Designed specifically for Mercury oil injection systems, the switch sends a signal to the engine warning module, alerting the operator to refill the oil reservoir before lubrication becomes critical. A faulty switch can result in false alarms, intermittent warnings or failure to warn of a genuine low-oil condition.
Manufactured to Mercury Marine specifications, the 856156T02 switch is built to withstand vibration, moisture and harsh marine operating conditions while providing reliable long-term performance. It is commonly found on Mercury and Mariner oil-injected two-stroke outboards as well as the 200HP OptiMax Jet Drive.
