Mercury Pitot Sensor Kit

The Mercury Marine 8M0090447 Pitot Sensor Kit is a genuine Mercury OEM speed sensing component designed for selected SmartCraft-equipped Mercury outboard and MerCruiser applications. The kit measures water pressure from the vessel’s pitot pickup system and converts it into an electronic signal for use by SmartCraft gauges, VesselView displays and compatible speed monitoring systems.

The pitot sensor plays an important role in providing accurate vessel speed information, particularly in applications where GPS speed data is not being used. By measuring water pressure generated as the vessel moves through the water, the sensor allows compatible instrumentation to calculate and display boat speed in real time.
